Beauty on a Dime

This is one of the articles I wrote for the newspaper

Subject: Staying on budget, but still maintaining skin with easy to do at home regiments.

Budgets might be tight these days, but there are no excuses for neglecting your beauty regiments. You might be stretching time between visits to the beauty salon, but let’s be honest: stretching is never good when it comes to your face.

There are 5 simple “beauty on a dime” regiments that will not break your budget. You will still see results worthy of an expensive facial at the salon

Do-it-yourself Facials
- There are a lot of facials that you can do at home; some of them are just a walk to your fridge. Even when you are preparing a salad for your family, rub a piece of a vegetable on your skin for instant nutrition.

Facial Exercise (http://www.faceflex.ca/)
- Exercises for your face will keep your muscles underneath your skin toned. It will minimize wrinkles and sagging skin. Exercise will also replenish your skin with nutrients and oxygen, which will make you look more rested and radiant. “By giving our facial muscles a simple workout, we can help our faces to defy our age,” Radjabova explains.

Daily Moisturizing
- Moisturizing on a daily basis nourishes the skin and keeps it radiant. It protects skin from daily pollutants, dirt and smoke that make skin look unhealthy and old.

Face Massage
- Simple face massage as you apply moisturizer in the morning or at night helps with blood flow to your face. Massage smoothes wrinkles and creates a glow on the cheeks.

Skin Diet
- Certain foods such as fruits and vegetables reflect on your skin. Different supplements, such as Omega 3, vitamin E will keep your skin smooth and healthy. Omega 3 can be found in fish. Vegetables like avocado and tomatoes provide necessary nutrients to maintain skin’s tone and moisture.

So go ahead and splurge on yourself with these low cost (or no cost at all) facial regiments and fill that time between facials at the beauty salon.
